Course Description

Welcome to THTR 341 Intro to Costume Design, a course taught by  Dr. Vickie Wisdom.

"This course will introduce the theatre major students to basic techniques of theatrical costume design. This will include: figure drawing; how the elements and principles of design relate to, and are utilized in, costume design; collaboration; script analysis; costume design process; character analysis; the function and purpose of costumes in theatre; and, rendering techniques. Knowledge of fabrics and other materials as well as costume history will also be explored."
