Returning Books to the Library
The EU libraries will cover the expense of shipping requested books out to EU and AGTS Distance Students. The students are responsible for returning the books in a timely fashion and for paying the shipping expenses for returns. Some things to keep in mind:
- The circulation system has a one-week “grace period” for Distance Students, allowing time for the mailing process.
- Books that do not arrive back within the grace period may still be considered by Library staff to have arrived “on time” if the mail packaging indicates that the book had been sent by the due date. In such instances, the staff would forgive any fines that the system had charged to the patron account.
- If you ever receive a fine notice and you believe it is an error, please feel free to contact the library staff and let them know about the situation.
- Keep in mind that, depending on your specific degree program, you should be eligible for at least one renewal. However, it is up to you to either renew the item online or contact the library staff and request a renewal.
- If you would like to request an extension for your loan, please contact the seminary librarian at library@agts.edu (for AGTS students) or EU circulation at LibraryCirculationQuestions@evangel.edu (for other Distance Masters and Doctoral students).
Be sure to review the full Circulation Policies.
